You are Blessed

Hello there crafty friends,
How are you guys doing?  I hope you are all doing well.  Im back on Craftin Desert Divas' blog today sharing with you my card using Flowers In Bloom, Tiny Sentiments stamp sets and Greeting Word Dies.

Here's what I made

After been awhile playing with all those cuties stamps, I often find myself returned back to flowers stamps for the love of flowers... (all kind of flowers)  I love Lotus flower and for Thai or I should say Buddhist, Lotus is a Holy flower that we normally use for praying.

Today card is truly CAS. (LOL)  I stamped the biggest Lotus from Flowers In Bloom stamp and colored it with various copic markers.  I then cut the panel using Fancy Frame Dies (my always goto die for decorative scallop edge panel).  From there I will know where to place my sentiment.  I diecut the word "Blessed" from Greeting Word Dies with Champagne/Gold glitter cardstock and glued it down using Multi Medium Matt (my favorite for adhering intricate diecut pieces).  I then heat embossed the stamp word "You are" from Tiny Sentiments stamp on top of the diecut piece.

I mounted the panel onto the champagne glitter cardstock and then adhered it onto my cardbase.  I decided not to put any sequins and wanted it to remain clean and simple.  And I love it!.
And here's closer look

Thank you for stopping by and I wish you all Wonderful day.

Craftin Desert Divas August Release Blog Hop Day 1

Welcome to the Craftin Desert Divas August Release Blog Hop. We have some wonderful stamps and dies that we will be sharing with you.

All stamps are in the CDD Shop and now available for purchase HERE.

We also offer SVG stamp outlines for .99 they work perfectly with your cutting machine. You must have a program that opens these files. This is a great alternative to coordinating dies and much less expensive.

Here's what I've created for you...
Project #1 : Bug Squad Stamp

How could I not adore this bug?
I did background panel by using some various sizes of masking tape and black sooth distress ink.

I stamped and colored the attitude but beautiful butterfly with polychromos color pencils and fuzzy cut her out.  I cut the vellum piece using the smaller scallop die from Fancy Frame Dies and layered it in between the background panel and image that will help to make the main image popup.  I then attached the heat embossed sentiment panel onto the main panel using form tapes.  I also sprinkled some Shimmer Sequins here and there  and I love love love our new Shimmer Sequins.. It's so beautiful

 Project # 2 : Your Wish Stamp

She's beautiful, isn't she?
I believe Genies from Your Wish stamp set is the STAR of this release :) They are so adorable.  And I did my fancy Onelayer card here. *lol*

I stamped the gennie first then masked her off with some post-it tape and stamped the carpet as if she's laying down flying high in the night sky.  I then also masked off the carpet and began to work on my background.

I cut the corner of photo copy paper to make my partial moon and used the negative piece with color duster and scattered straw distress ink for the moon. I then used the moon template and color duster to color my night sky scene but I did offset the template abit so that I could later did some growing light around the moon.  For the night sky I used tumbled glass, salty ocean, chipped sapphire and alittle bit of black sooth.

Using color duster has the advantage of the soft look and smooth blending colors.  If you want the darker colors you just have to dust more colors on top of it.

I finished it off by splattered white paint onto the night sky background for stary effect and stamped the sentiment at the moon area.  I then removed the gennie and the carpet masking papers off and colored them with various copic markers. And of course I have to use the Shimmer Sequins to accent my card.

Project # 3 : Shaker Tag Dies

Things are getting out of hands here.  I was jumping for joy with this Shaker Tag Dies.  They are not only adjustable sizes of the width and length but they are so veratile.  I made the decorative ege for my card during Sneak Peak (hope you still remembered *lol*),

I made goodies bags out of the tags dies and besides making the tags themselves.  There're also have the cute bow dies and windows for shaker effect.  There are many fun ways that you can make used of these dies.  I can't recommend enough.

Ok back to the project..

I wanted to utilize the maximum space for 12x12 pattern paper so my bags' dimension is 4"x12".  At the short sides of the paper, I marked the center at 2" and aligned the tags topper dies to the center then cut away both ends.  I then measured the center of the long side and scored 1/2" to the left and right of the center point and I would get the bottom base of my bag.

I also decorated my bags using the bow die cut from the Shaker Tag Dies.  The Word "Thanks" is from Greeting Word Dies and the sentiment is from TinySentiment stamp.

And here how I did the bottom of goodie bags

Once I have the size of the base I plus 1" at all 4 sizes and scored them also 1" away from the edges. I then cut and put strong double sided tape as shown and attached it to the bags

Since I can adjust and do any tags sizes as I shown some variations here.  I stamped the Genies and colored them with copic markers then masked them off and began to used color duster for my ink ombre effect.

Here are the closer look for each of them
Hope you like my projects and have some inspiration.  Thank you for stopping by and Have a Wonderful day.
