Christmas Wishes - Alcohol Ink Backgrounds

Hello there my Crafty Friends,

Merry Christmas to you all! I am super happy to be back on Craftin Desert Divas' blog today sharing with you this little project I made for our December Mood Board Challenge with this week CDD blog new theme -
Alcohol Ink Backgrounds technique.

Here is what I made for you.

Here is our December Mood Board Challenge.

You still have time to join us at CDD Facebook gallery to upload you projects to the folder.  And here is the link to CDD Facebook Gallery.  There will be prizes announcement at the 1st of January.
I hope you're playing along for some crafty fun and prizes.

Back to my project :)

I created this card using one of my alcohol ink backgrounds here to match the mood board colors theme together with Nested Heart dies, Fancy Frame dies, Tis The Season dies, Sending Sentiments stamp and Winter Bliss stamp.

Alcohol Ink Background technique has been around for long time and I have to admit that I was overwhelming with so many crafting techniques and keep on procrastinating to do this fun technique..
Well here is no more *lol*

And here is my YouTube Video sharing how I created these backgrounds with alcohol inks as well as copic various inks with rubbing alcohol on Yupo paper.

I hope you like it and I also have some pictures sharing here with my card project.

I used Fancy frame dies to cut from kraft card stock and trimmed my background panel to fit just slightly smaller than the stitching details from the die.  From vellum paper, I cut the Nested Heart dies and decorated the outer part with Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White and the inner heart I heated embossed with white embossing powder.  The Ice skating shoes and the wreath images are from Winter Bliss stamp.

Underneath the heart shape die is Santa's sleigh dies from Tis The Season dies.  I colored all the pieces with copic markers and popped them up with form tape.

And here is overall look at the card one more time.

I do hope you like it and Thank you for stopping by today.

Hugs,
Jan

Love Is Better Together

TGIF folks...

Sharing today is my card for Craftin Desert Divas using Better Together stamp.

Here is what I made for you

My prospective from this lovely couple image from Better Together stamp is top viewing.  I can't help but seeing them laying down on the grass.

Here is how I prepared my card

I stamped the images and sentiment onto white card stock and cut my panel with Crazy Stitched Frame dies.  I masked the couple image off for inking background.  I didn't do masking for the bird from Feathered Friends mini stamp and the branch from Birds Of A Feather stamp because I knew that I will color the branch in dark brown and the bird in blue which is all right.

I used distress inks in mowed lawn and twisted citron and distress oxide ink in salty ocean. I colored all images with copic markers.

Here is closer look

I finished it off by sprinkling Love Bug sequins here and there and glossy accent on those cherry and the bird.

I hope you like it.  Thank you for stopping by and Have a Wonderful weekend ahead.

Hugs,
Jan

Sparkle Wherever You Go

How are you doing today?

I am back to share with you my card today using Craftin Desert Divas December Release stamp "Sparkle" stamp.

I wanted to make the happy rainbow clouds for my happy card :) *lol*  and here is how I prepared my card scene.

I stamped the sentiment and the sweetest flying unicorn from Sparkle stamp onto my white card base and cut it out from Crazy Stitched Frames dies.

I used distress oxide inks in peacock feather, seedless preserves, spiced marmalade, twisted citron, wild honey and worn lipstick together with Stitched Scallop die as stencil for puffy clouds.

Here is the closer look

After all the distress oxide inks dried, I heat embossed with the small swirly line stamp from This & That stamp all over the front panel. And my card is done.

I hope you like it and Thank you for stopping by today.

Hugs,
Jan

P.S. I Love You

Today I am sharing with you another card that I made for Craftin Desert Divas P.S. I Love You stamp.

And this is how I prepared my card.

I stamped the adorable mouse and the mail box from P.S. I Love You stamp as well as the carrot house from Sumbunny stamp.  I then cut my main panel with Crazy Stitched Frame dies.

I colored my card scene with Polychromos color pencils including the background and blended with baby oil.  I also decorated my card a bit with the clouds from Rainbow dies.

Here is the closer look.

I used glossy accent on the carrot house's window as well as the birdie on mail box.  I hope you like it and Thank you for stopping by today.

Hugs,
Jan
