Here's what I've created for you...
Project #1
I first prepared my card base using the biggest die of the Picture Frame Dies by cutting out 2 pieces from brown card stock. I scored 1 piece at the top half an inch away from the edge and attached to another piece to make my card base. I then used the inner die of the Picture Frame Dies to cut out the windows from pink card stock.
I stamped and arranged Cheery Blossome flower and stem images from Flowers In Bloom stamp set onto white card stock and made sure that they were in good positons after I put the window frame on top. I then colored all images with various copic markers and attached it direcly to the window frame.
I also stamped individule Cheery Blossomes and leaves onto another white card stock, colored and fussy cut them out. I shaped the flowers and leaves a little bit and attached them onto the main panel to give them 3 dimensions effect.
Here's the closer look
I poped the main panel up with form tape and attached to another brown card stock that I cut from Fancy Frame Dies. I then attached my panel onto another metalic pink card stock for layering and onto my card base.
I used the sentiment from Simply Said stamp set. I stamped and heat embossed on the smallest window and popped it up with the form tape as well.
Here is closeup look for the sentiment & double stitches
Project # 2
This project is very special to me... I turned the Picture Frame Die and made it into a Lantern. I began to cut my picture frame die 4 times from black card stock but internal I used small scallop die from Fancy Fram Die to cut out the inside windows. I also heat embossed with embossing powder all 4 panels using the Stars border from Across The Borders stamp set.
I then scored 3 sizes for all 4 panels about half an inch from the edge (leaving the top part unscored). I adhered all 4 panels together (using strong adhersive tape) except joining panel 1 and 4 together. It's easier to work when all pieces are flated. I cut the vellum paper and made sure that they were big enough to cover the window frames. I then adhered them inside my 4 panels.
I also used vellum and cut out all 3 border dies from Outdoor Landscape Dies - the grass, the wave and the hill. I colored the vellum from behind and cut them to fit the bottom of window frames. I layered 2 set of each borders and cut at the bottom edge with the small scallop die from Fancy Frame Dies to make them perfect fit to each of the windows.
Finally I stamped my 3 images from Magical Wishes (Unicorn, Mermaid and Fairy) to white card stock. I colored them all with various copic markers and fussy cut them out. For sentiment, I heat embossed the sentiment on black card stock and cut around the edge leaving abit of black border. I then adhered them at the center of each panel.
Here is how it looks with battery lights
Here are how it looks at each panel
I hope you like them and I wish you all a Wonderful Day!

I also stamped and heat embossed couples of 2 clouds images from The Sky Is The Limit stamp set on vellum and fussy cut them out. I decorated them to all my 4 panels.
I attached the 1st and 4th panel together using strong adhesive tape. To make it standed properly I cut at the bottom of the scored lines until it reached the intersection of other scored lines for both left and right sides of all 4 panels. I then adhered my panel to a square card stock leaving the cut corners loose for flexibility.
To finish up my project I sprinkled Pastel Paradise sequins and Fairy Dust sequins to accent each panels. I love how it turned out.

DeleteWow! Your card is just beautiful and your lantern is amazing! Is the lantern open at the top and bottom? What is the overall size? I just love this and keep going back to look at it again and again!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Amanda. You are so sweet! The die size is about 5 1/4" x 4". My lantern is openned at the top. In fact you can leave top and bottom be openned and just cover it over the battery operated lights. You can also use the die to make a card base as shown on my flower card. It's fit for A2 size. This is just only to use the outside frame of this die. The window die also very cool with other styles of card presentation.../Jan
